Ballet
The dancer's body is simply the luminous manifestation of the soul.
Isadora Duncan
Ballet is taught by the school's principal, Tanya Euridge.
Tanya has been dancing ballet, modern, jazz and tap since the age of three! She completed her professional training at the Hammond School in Chester and is a fully registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and holds a full CRB Disclosure, (as do all members of staff at the school).
Her choreography regularly wins solo and group sections at the Exeter Dance Festival and beyond; her classical groups have won the Stonelands Swan trophy on three occasions and she also choreographed the Exeter Festival Performance Award-winning Little Shop of Horrors song & dance group- the first time the award had been given to a school rather than an individual. Tanya is also a qualified instructor for the Exeter Gymnastics Club and regularly choreographs national and international championship-winning floor routines.
Ballet is the core dance form, which gives strength and technique to all the other styles of dance. Baby Ballet classes begin from 3 years of age, and dancers can progress up to Grade 8 in the Royal Academy of Dance exams, as well as progressing through the vocational levels from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced.
There are two exams sessions at our studios each year, in the Winter and Summer, which means that there is great flexibility when deciding at what point each student is ready to take the next assessment.
The school is extremely proud of its 100% pass rate, maintained for more than 15 years!

Please see the timetable for the full range of class times available.
I wanted so badly to study ballet, but it was really all about wearing the tutu.
